There was no answer
  Highlights
· The supervisor did not arrive
· Drove to his home
· The life saving 911 call

Mike Brown, security supervisor for CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital, demonstrated his heart and soul on the evening of June 26.

Brown was waiting on the evening security supervisor for his scheduled shift.

When evening supervisor had not arrived at the beginning of his shift, Brown began to call him. In light of recent health problems by the supervisor and multiple attempts to call with no answer, Brown became concerned.

Brown contacted his manager to request coverage while he drove to his home nearby.

He could tell the supervisor was there, but there was no answer. So Brown called 911, broke through the door and found him in bed, critically ill.

He received the treatment he needed and recovered quickly. Before leaving the supervisor's home, the paramedic told Brown, “Good job, you saved this guy’s life.”
