CAMC is making it easier for patients and visitors to stay connected, even while in the hospital. Both CAMC Memorial and CAMC Women and Children’s hospitals now provide wireless Internet access to patients, patients’ families and others via the CAMC visitor computer network. Users can bring their personal devices (eg. a laptop) and access a web page where they agree to the terms and conditions covering its use. They will then connect to the Internet. Patient wireless Internet access areas will be designated in each location. “I’m pleased we can provide this service to our patients and families,” said Bill Adams, vice president/administrator CAMC Memorial Hospital. “Now life can keep moving for them, and friends and family can stay in touch more easily.” |
