The pediatric unit is located on the fifth floor of Women and Children’s Hospital and provides medical and surgical care for children, from newborns through age 17. The unit has private and semi-private rooms and a child-friendly atmosphere. Children in this unit will receive care by nurses experienced in dealing with the sensitivities of sick children. Also, a child life therapist provides age-appropriate activities during the hospital stay.
