Robotic pyeloplasty repairs blockages where your ureter exits the kidney.
The procedure will be performed through 3 to 4 small laparoscopic incisions and will take about 3 to 4 hours to complete. Most patients stay in the hospital overnight and go home the following day.
After the procedure
- Your diet can be gradually advanced.
- You will have a foley catheter and a Jackson-Pratt (JP drain), which are typically removed the following day.
- Your urologist will discuss the final pathology of your procedure at your post operative appointment.
