Since 1972, this branch of the Morgantown-based medical school has been a part of Charleston Area Medical Center's Memorial Hospital campus. Operated through an affiliation agreement ratified by the CAMC Health System board, faculty is comprised of dedicated and knowledgeable medical staff members. More than than 100 residents choose to continue their education in Charleston each year. Our residency programs include: behavioral medicine and psychiatry, family medicine, surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology. It has a nursing and pharmacy programs well. The Charleston Division of WVU's Health Sciences Center, located on CAMC's Memorial Hospital campus, houses a fully staffed medical library with one of the largest clinical collections in West Virginia  and a computer index to the National Library of Medicine.
