Josh Gains Honored as Challenged Athlete of the Year

Josh Gains from Vienna, WV, was honored as the 2012 West Virginia Challenged Athlete of the Year during the Challenged Sports annual awards banquet at the Charleston Marriott on Nov. 13. Gains was selected for his outstanding accomplishments in challenged sports. He is currently ranked 12th in the world in shot put, 2nd in the U.S. in discus, and 3rd in the U.S. in javelin. He also holds multiple state and league records in wheelchair basketball, shot put, discus and javelin.
