July 3, 2013

Runners climbing Cemetery Hill during the 2013 Run for Your LifeRunners took to the streets and hills of Charleston June 22 in an effort to raise money in the fight against colon cancer.

Run for Your Life was established in 2004 in honor of Jody Jividen, former Daily Mail sports editor who died from colorectal cancer.

Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer diagnosed in both men and women in the United States.

This disease is preventable and treatable with screenings and awareness.

All entry fees from the run go to the CAMC Foundation to support colorectal cancer awareness and screening.

The CAMC Foundation thanks Frost Brown Todd LLC, AT&T, and MCS Construction Inc. for their support of the 2013 Run for Your Life.

Participants can now view official race times online.
