CAMnet redesign: It's all in the search - Archived
It's everyone's first instinct when they want to know something: they just Google it! An efficient website search function is an important part of what makes a site user-friendly. One of the advantages of the redesigned CAMnet will be its search function.
It is a "smart site" platform that allows for related information to be connected. The site search bar enables search terms to be found in web page titles, page copy, documents and news items. Users will view search results from newest to oldest.
Beginning in January, CAMnet will be on a new platform, which is the same as camc.org.
While policies and procedures will be indexed in the site search, the policy and procedure module will also have its own separate, more detailed search. Users can search policies by name, description, number, manual and department. Policies are currently being evaluated for addition to this module. The Employee Handbook will be the first manual to be added and will be available in the new module on the live date of Jan. 6, 2014.
Through user feedback and testing, the CAMnet committee has done its best to create an intuitive site where information is easy to find. However, if you're having trouble finding something or just need a quick result, the new search function will be a great resource.
