Alicia Petry's visit to the hospital last month was much better than her first.

Petry, of Boone County, experienced shortness of breath during the 35th week of her pregnancy and was rushed to Women and Children's Hospital. Once there, nurses and Dr. Stephen Bush of the WVU Physicians of Charleston Ob/Gyn Specialty Offices sprang into action to save her life and the life of her unborn child.

During the visit, Petry went into cardiac arrest. Several people helped by performing an emergency delivery, reviving her stopped heart and stabilizing her for transport.

She recently came back to Women and Children's Hospital to meet and thank those who never gave up on her or her son, Easton.

Petry was diagnosed with a serious heart defect and spent several months at Cleveland Clinic.
