Overcast skies and drizzle used to keep HealthNet grounded. But a new system known as Instrument Flight Rules, or IFR, allows helicopters to operate in poor weather conditions where visibility is very low. HealthNet has used this new system at its Beckley base for four months and it has proven to be extremely effective. HealthNet held an event at its hanger at Yeager Airport Oct. 14 to show off the new system and helicopter to the public.
