Lillian Morris has worked at CAMC for 43 years.
As the corporate director for safety, Morris has worked with most everyone at CAMC to prepare for disasters, as part of a disaster or in regards to patient safety.
Morris has not only displayed outstanding leadership to CAMC, but to many organizations outside of the hospital as well.
She has served as a regional coordinator for the West Virginia Hospital Association, worked closely with the state Department of Health and Human Resources, Bureau of Public Health and the Center for Threat Preparedness.
Morris developed an active shooter workshop providing training for hospital staff, regional hospitals and emergency services personnel and coordinated a drill with the Charleston Police Department and Kanawha County Sheriff's Department to test our response.
She led CAMC's preparations for possible patients from the National Boy Scout Jamboree in Fayetteville and worked with other hospitals and agencies to coordinate a regional plan.
