Sleep testing

Sleep testing (called polysomnography) is performed in private bedrooms in our Sleep CenterOur professional staff will prepare you for testing by attaching a variety of devices to monitor your sleep.  Testing is painless, and usually consists of one to two separate nights.  Day studies may also be scheduled, and would be performed the next day following your overnight study.

For nighttime testing, plan to carry out your nightly routine, If you read to fall asleep, bring a book.  Pack loose fitting night clothing, or if you prefer, we will provide you with a hospital gown. Bring your personal toiletries also.

For daytime testing, you may bring a family member of a friend to keep you company between naps.  This testing usually requires four to five naps to accumulate adequate data.
