Many patients are referred to our office from the emergency room for traumatic conditions such as fractures, sprains or contusions. When the ER discharges a patient, they will give them the name of the physician on call and our office phone number. The patient should call our office for an appointment.
Some patients have day-to-day problems, such as pain in their joints, limbs or muscles. They can be referred to our office by their treating physician. The physician's office should complete our referral form and send it to our office by fax or e-mail. We will then contact their office with your appointment details.
We participate with most major insurance companies ( Aetna , BC /BS, Carelink, Cigna, Medicare, Select Net, 4 Most, PPO/USA, Railroad Medicare, Humana, UMWA, Tricare and WVWC). Please call your insurance company to find out if we are a provider with your particular plan.
As a courtesy to other patients, we ask that you please call our office as soon as possible if you need to cancel your appointment and we will be happy to reschedule. Your appointment will be automatically cancelled 15 minutes after your scheduled time unless prior arrangements are made.

Prescriptions are given at the time of your office visit ONLY.
You should have been advised when you were discharged from the hospital what your instructions were for changing your post operative dressing. Typically, you may change the dressing in four days. Clean the incision with peroxide, pat dry, apply a small amount of antibiotic ointment to the incision and apply a new dressing. Thereafter, repeat this process daily until your next office visit.
Rest the swollen area, elevate higher than the heart (if possible), and apply ice for 20 minutes every two hours.
