Exploring is a worksite-based program that gives youth an opportunity to visit community organizations and explore the dynamics of various careers.  Exploring is for young men and women who are at least 14 years of age and have completed the eighth grade, or are 15 or older, participation may continue through age 20.

The purpose is to help youth to development and grow through activities that provide real life experiences in their field of interest. Exploring programs are based on five areas of emphasis: career opportunities, life skills, service learning, character and leadership experience.

Every Explorer post specializes in a specific career program area. There are specialty programs, such as:

Medical and Health Careers
Law Enforcement
Aviation
Law and Government
Engineering
Skilled Trades
Business
Communications
