The CAMC Health Education and Research Institute provides research support to physicians and allied medical professionals at CAMC. Throughout CAMC the growing link between medical knowledge and the delivery of health services is forged through a wide variety of clinical and health research projects. CAMC is active in research to support the organization's focus on prevention, improving the outcome of care and overall quality improvement.
Each year, the CAMC Foundation provides funding to the CAMC Institute for many aspects of medical research, which includes the research projects of medical students, interns, residents and fellows. In addition, the foundation provides support for geriatric-related research projects, along with grants for participants in an annual summer research externship.
