The 2015 CAMC Foundation Golf Classic ‘Chairman’ Ezekiel Conner, his family and the children cared for at CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital thank our generous donors for helping raise more than $185,000 to ensure the families and children in our community receive the care they need.
These funds are critical to CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital and help us provide quality health care to every child, regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Because of their investment, the CAMC Foundation was able to award more than $275,000 in grants in 2014 to programs like the Family Resource Center where 335 therapy visits for uninsured patients occurred, 82 car seats were distributed during the childbirth education safety class and 61 memory boxes were given to bereaved parents who lost their babies.
Additionally, these grants help support the CAMC Childrens Advocacy Center where more than 700 children were screened for physical and sexual abuse and 47 weekly sessions of the “Just for Today Group” which is part of the Drug Addicted Mother Baby Program, helping mothers to become and live clean and sober.
