Gala takes people home
The 2016 CAMC Foundation Gala “Take me Home, Country Roads” was a resounding success!

The region’s premier event plays a significant role in providing funds to deliver health care to the disadvantaged children and families cared for at CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital.

With the help of dedicated volunteers, more than $350,000 was raised to help those in need.

Honorary co-chairs Governor Earl Ray and First Lady Joanne Jaeger Tomblin invited guests to help create a positive, healing and vibrant presence in West Virginia.

Donors also play an important role in this region. Without this important event, and the community support received each year, there would be no other funding to address a great need in our community.

In 2015 the CAMC Foundation was able to grant $423,800 to programs and services like the CAMC Children’s Cancer Center and the CAMC Children’s Advocacy Center where physically and sexually abused children are treated; along with education, wellness and case management services for high risk pregnant mothers, infants and children.
