Congratulations to Cristy Turley, the fourth quarter 2018 Employee of Excellence.
Turley works in the ICU at CAMC Teays Valley Hospital.
The person who nominated Turley said she plays a very critical and vital role assisting the nursing staff during the night shift.
"Without her, our work loads are increased, and it makes it more challenging for us to keep up with all the demands while we provide exceptional medical care to our patients," according to the nomination.
"She is forward thinking and always seems to know what we need in advance. She always has the rooms set up and ready to go when we get a new admission. In addition, she makes sure that any additional or specialized equipment is safely and accurately positioned in the room so when the patient arrives we immediately begin the admission assessment. Always alert and ready to assist, she closely maintains watch over all the patient monitors and relays critical information to the RN assigned to the specific room. She ensures that all the necessary lab work is quickly taken to the lab and follows up if it is not received back in a timely manner. When we have family members who elect to stay with their loves ones during the night, she shows the utmost respect and compassion to the family. She always goes above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that CAMC is well represented."
The nomination concluded saying Turley "epitomizes the highest quality of respect, integrity and compassion. She represents Teays Valley Hospital with the utmost of excellence and as a stellar medical professional."
