Some people avoid getting involved, but not Michael Gill.
Gill works in the environmental services department, but frequently goes above and beyond outside of his normal job duties and sometimes outside of the walls of our hospital.
Recently, a jeep had broken down in the middle of the street in front of Memorial Hospital. Seeing the flashers on, Gill stopped to check on the driver and pushed the jeep to a safe location.
He not only was nominated because of this selfless act of kindness, but for standing out every day. When emptying trash and picking up recycling bins, he often asks if people need anything, checks to make sure departments have all of the needed supplies and constantly goes above and beyond to serve his customers.
