As many of you are aware, the patient population at CAMC Women and Children's Hospital is 70 percent indigent or reliant upon Medicaid and Medicare.

In order to increase the impact of your gift, we have applied and been awarded Neighborhood Investment Program, or NIP, tax credits for gifts made to Women and Children's Hospital.

NIP allows us to apply for tax credit vouchers that are distributed to businesses and individuals who contribute to the CAMC Foundation.

By donating to Women and Children's Hospital, contributors can support their communities and vital programs that impact so many children and families. Each gift of $500 or more is eligible for up to 50 percent of the contributed amount in credits to reduce the following West Virginia taxes: corporate net income tax; business franchise tax; and personal income tax. NIP credits are available on a first-come, first-served basis. All gifts and sponsorships to the 2013 Gala are eligible for tax credits.
