In 2013, two Charleston area women with a flair for fashion and big hearts stepped up to organize a large adult consignment sale to benefit the new CAMC Cancer Center. Stefanie Henrich and Jenni Dorsey, business partners and the driving force of this project said, “We knew we wanted to do something to benefit the community.” “We chose CAMC Cancer Center in memory of Becky Wehrle Burdette and Brenda Sue Rees, two very special people in our lives.” Over the course of many months of prep work and many days of set up, family members, friends and employees of CAMC who volunteered their time worked tirelessly to get ready for two separate three-day sales. After a hectic, but rewarding year of countless work hours and planning, Henrich and Dorsey were able to donate $10,500 to the CAMC Foundation. “We hope the proceeds from our 2013 Snazzy Rags & Such Sales will provide the CAMC Cancer Center wig shop with the resources needed to help those battling cancer.” Never doubt the power of an idea and the dedication of passionate people. You too can make a difference.
