The CAMC Foundation is pleased to announce Mr. John Elliot and Mrs. Fonda Elliot as the 2015 Gala Co-Chairs.

John and Fonda are leaders in our community who understand the importance of compassionate, state-of-the-art

health care for those that need it the most. That is why they are committing their time and efforts to support the

underserved and high-risk children and families cared for at CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital.

On April 25, 2015, the CAMC Foundation will hold its annual Gala to support CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital.

The CAMC Foundation Gala plays a significant role in providing funds to deliver health care to the roughly 70 percent

indigent children and families cared for at CAMC Women and Children’s.

Our tiniest patients require specialized equipment and other unique resources, and without your support, we would not

be able to provide the highest level care.

The 2015 “Children’s Champion” Gala is the grand-slam event you don’t want to miss in Charleston. The evening is

celebrated with a silent auction, gourmet food, and live music that will keep you dancing all night.

This year, tennis great Chris Evert will be the guest of honor. Evert is a former world #1 tennis player, holding the title for seven years,

and was the youngest tennis player to make it to the semifinals of the U.S. championship in 1971. Since retiring from professional tennis,

Evert has put her efforts into helping young pregnant women and their babies and started the Chris Evert Charities, which focuses on

education and resources for substance-abusing mothers and their babies. Her mission of giving children the best start in life aligns

perfectly with the care that happens every day at CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital.

Put April 25 on your calendar for great food, music and dancing. The gala will once again be held at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences. Between March 1 and April 1, CAMC employees can purchase gala tickets for 50% off ($105 per ticket).
