The CAMC Foundation held a day of holiday fun and cheer for children with cancer and their families.

A needed respite for all, the families kicked back and had a great time as the dedicated staff and physicians added to the festivities.

More than 15 of CAMC’s pediatric patients who are currently receiving treatment attended. In addition, numerous patients who have completed therapy stopped by.

Of course no holiday party is complete without a visit by Santa – and this one was no different. Santa handed out gifts and laughter to all.

Childhood cancer has got to be the hardest thing to witness. It does not just impact the child who is going through this devastating disease. It impacts everyone who is in that child’s life: family, friends, doctors, nurses, the list goes on and on.

Reflecting on the day, it’s hard to put into words how much this means to the patients and families. Without our wonderful donors, these moments of joy and less worry would not be possible.
