It’s a cause that this year’s honorary chairman knows all too well.
Chris Stadelman is a lifelong West Virginian who currently serves as communications director for Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin.
In 2014, Stadelman was diagnosed with a colorectal tumor. He’s currently being treated at the CAMC Cancer Center.
“I want to call attention to the need for colorectal screening for all people age 50 and over, as well as people under that age who have symptoms that indicate a need for testing,” Stadelman said. “I’m also doing it to pay tribute to the incredible health care professionals at CAMC, who have provided great treatment for decades and will do so from the new, state-of-the-art cancer center.”
The funds raised by those who participate in Run for Your Life will help people who cannot otherwise afford critical colorectal screening procedures.
