Rehabilitation Services

Rehab services at Teays Valley Hospital include: physical therapy, cardiac rehab, speech therapy and wound care. The goal of rehab services is to restore maximal functional independence by providing individualized treatments, exercise programs and education on an inpatient and outpatient basis.


  • Physical Therapy Services include treatments for the following: post orthopedic surgeries, work related injuries, gait training and balance disorders, sports related injuries and prosthetic training
  • Cardiac Rehab offers Holter Monitoring and three phases of rehab.
  • Speech Therapy diagnoses and treats communication and swallowing disorders in patients.
  • The Wound Care Center - In conjunction with physicians, the outpatient physical therapy department provides assessment, treatment, education and preventative measures for patients with non-healing wounds due to diabetes, poor circulation, pressure ulcers and non-healing surgical wounds. Wound clinic patietns are evaluated weekly to monitor progress and make changes to treatments deemed necessary by the physician.
