CAMC is an ISO 9001:2015 certified organization recognized and accredited by DNV-GL Healthcare. The journey to this distinction started in 2012. One of the ISO requirements for certification is to have a program to plan and conduct internal audits of the processes essential to our business.
During 2014 and 2015, 90 CAMC employees were trained to be internal auditors. Since that time and in addition to their regularly scheduled duties, these individuals have committed to conducting internal audits around our organization. The audits, which they conduct, help to identify the level of conformance our organization has to our own policies and procedures in compliance with our accrediting and regulatory requirements.
In 2020, 70 of those originally trained individuals continue to commit to conducting at least one audit per year. This group was recognized for its five years of service to the program at the manager information meeting Jan. 23.
