Ramona Carter, lab unit supervisor, goes above and beyond her assigned tasks.
She helps those who have both work and non-work related needs. When an employee doesn't have a way to get to work or home she drives them. On holidays, she makes or brings in meals for those who are working. Recently, she started a "biggest loser" contest to encourage her staff to become healthier. She even joined a gym to work out daily with an employee whose "buddy" couldn't do it.
The person who nominated Carter said she does all of this and more without expecting anything in return.
Carter's actions create a best place to work environment, increase morale and make the workspace better.
