Congratulations to Joel Taylor, cardiac rehab, for being the second quarter 2022 Teays Valley Hospital Employee of Excellence.
According to his nomination, Taylor’s actions may have saved a patient’s life.
It started when a patient came in for cardiac rehab and was having trouble breathing.
When the patient sat down to catch her breath, Taylor told her how to breathe correctly. After a conversation, he got a wheelchair and took the patient to the emergency room.
“He is a very caring person and goes above and beyond his call of duty,” the patient said. “He checked on me while I was in the ER, and when I was released, he wheeled me to my car.”
