CAMC is a Level 1 Trauma Center, which is the highest level of trauma and emergency care available for the most severe injuries. Our trauma surgeons have the training and experience to provide lifesaving care from the moment the most critically-injured patients enter our doors to give them the best chance at recovery.
Our team is prepared for any type of trauma, including car accidents, ATV accidents, gunshots, stabbings, serious falls, traumatic brain injuries, etc. Nearly 3,000 trauma patients are admitted to CAMC every year.
