What are the requirements for volunteering at CAMC?

Interested individuals must apply online.

Applicants are contacted for an interview to discuss availability, interests and skills. Applicants who are offered a volunteer role will be subject to a background check prior to starting.

Individuals are required to receive an annual flu shot to volunteer at CAMC.

Once the application process is complete, new volunteers will participate in a mandatory health review and volunteer orientation before starting their assignment.

Volunteers must commit to serve a minimum of four hours a week and are required to serve a minimum one-year commitment. For this reason, we cannot accept short-term volunteers to obtain community service hours for a one-time requirement.

What are some of the benefits of being a volunteer at CAMC?

  • Free meal for each three to four-hour shift worked
  • Free annual flu shot
  • Free uniforms

When do volunteers serve?

While we appreciate help all the time, the most significant demand for volunteers is between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Volunteers are assigned to a specific department with a schedule to help cover that department or unit's most demanding times.

A limited number of areas need volunteers on evenings/nights and weekends. There are also opportunities to volunteer on holidays.
