The CAMC Kidney Transplant Center has been chosen to be part of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Improving Outcomes in Transplantation and Access (IOTA) Model. The Kidney Transplant Center is one of only 103 programs selected nationwide (out of 256) to participate in this important initiative. This national program is designed to help kidney transplant patients receive better, more coordinated care and to increase kidney transplant rates.
The CAMC Kidney Transplant program has been serving patients for 38 years and has performed a total of 1,841 kidney transplants during that time.
By joining IOTA, CAMC is working to improve outcomes, reduce wait times and support our patients' long-term health after transplant. This program helps CAMC do even more to serve our community.
