Dr. Steven Artz has been an endocrinologist at CAMC for several years, earning respect and admiration from staff and patients.
He was nominated for the genuine care he shows in his daily interactions.
Recently, at one of CAMC’s telemedicine hubs, Dr. Artz met a patient who was deeply frustrated and in tears. She had seen multiple providers from other health systems, endured a multitude of symptoms and continued being told nothing was wrong with her.
From the very first visit, she felt something different. She later shared that Dr. Artz was the first provider who truly listened to her. At a follow-up visit, she told staff Dr. Artz had saved her life.
