At the Outpatient Care Center clinics, our goal is to meet the health care needs of our patients. Our team includes physicians, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses and certified medical assistants. The physicians have training in several fields of medicine including internal medicine, geriatrics, behavioral medicine, cardiology, rheumatology, infectious disease, gastroenterology, surgery, osteoporosis and dermatology. Our clinic uses the services of resident physicians. These resident physicians are medical school graduates who have dedicated a portion of their time spent in training to serve you by providing primary care through this clinic. The resident physicians are supervised by attending physicians from the West Virginia University in all of their patient care decisions. This clinic is a cooperative effort between the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center of West Virginia University-Charleston Division and Charleston Area Medical Center. The clinic is open for telephone messages and patient appointments from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The clinic is closed on most holidays. The Outpatient Care Center is located on the fourth floor of the CAMC Robert C. Byrd Clinical Teaching Center on the Memorial Hospital campus.
