CAMC Employee Wellness Center FAQs

1) Who is the CAMC Employee Wellness Center for?

The Employee Wellness Center is a primary care and wellness center for CAMC employees and their dependents (age 11 and older) that have CAMC Highmark insurance.

2) What services does the CAMC Employee Wellness Center Cover?

The Wellness Center is a primary care provider. Our providers focus on wellness, keeping CAMC employees healthy and treating chronic and acute conditions.

3) When should I go to the CAMC Employee Wellness Center?

When you need to see a primary care provider. Once established, you can go to wellness center on a walk-in basis with non-emergency illnesses including flu, sore throat, eye infections, allergies, sinus infections and more.

4) What are the CAMC Employee Wellness Center’s hours?

We’re open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We’re closed for lunch from 1 to 2 p.m. daily.(Please note that we start taking calls at 8 a.m.)

5) Do I have to make an appointment to be seen at the CAMC Employee Wellness Center?

Yes. Please call (304) 388-2130 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to schedule an appointment

6) Does the CAMC Employee Wellness Center offer same-day appointments?

Yes, if you are an established patient and intend to use the wellness center as your primary care provider.

7) Who are the providers at the CAMC Employee Wellness Center?

The Wellness Center is staffed by a combination of nurse practitioners and physicians.

8) What insurance is accepted at the CAMC Employee Wellness Center?

CAMC Highmark PPO medical plan (high deductible health plan members are not eligible).

9) How much will my visit cost?

There is NO COST to anyone covered by the CAMC PPO Medical Plan ($0 copay, $0 coinsurance and $0 deductible).

10) What wellness programs will the CAMC Wellness Center offer?

Group education, access to chronic disease management and prevention programs, access to exercise physiology and nutrition education, emotional well-being resources and more!

11) Should I go to the CAMC Employee Wellness Center if I fall at work?

No. If you fall, get hurt or get sick at work you should go to employee health.

12) Should I go to the CAMC Employee Wellness Center if I get stuck by a needle at work?

No. You should go to employee health.

13) Should I go to the CAMC Employee Wellness Center if I need a work excuse?

Only if you are an established patient that has been seen recently by a wellness center provider.

14) Can I get my prescriptions filled at the CAMC Employee Wellness Center?

No, you will need to go to a pharmacy to get prescriptions filled.
