Baby First Program

The Baby First program at CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital provides services and resources to help women struggling with substance use throughout pregnancy and up to two years after delivery. Women are eligible to enroll in the program at any point during that time period.

The primary goal of the program is to support mother and baby by providing prevention, early intervention, education, treatment and recovery support services.

Our Services

  • One-on-one support from a Certified Peer Recovery Coach
  • Individualized services tailored to meet the needs of program participants
  • Referrals to community resources and services
  • Patient advocacy during medical appointments before and after delivery

The Baby First program is funded by the West Virginia Perinatal Partnership through their Drug-Free Moms and Babies Initiative.
