CAMC uses the latest in advanced technology and testing to provide sophisticated genetic testing to identify and screen patients for increased risks of hereditary cancer. This testing is available to patients at the CAMC Cancer Center, Breast Center, CAMC Gastroenterology and the Obstetrics and Gynecology Center.

Genetic testing for cancer risk allow patients and their doctors to be proactive in the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer, as well as identifying family members who may also be at risk.

Before your visit, you will be sent a digital risk assessment questionnaire via text and/or email. You may also complete the questionnaire during your visit if you choose. Participation is completely voluntary.

Based on your responses, we will inform you if it is recommended you receive genetic testing and, if so, our staff can help you with the next steps. We ensure affordable and reliable genetic testing for those who qualify.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call the facility and our friendly staff will be glad to walk you through the process.
