The CAMC Outpatient Diabetes Education Program offers adult diabetes education and support to everyone. Our program is designed to help provide an individual with the knowledge, skill, and ability necessary for diabetes self-care.
This 10-hour training provides education in self-managing diabetes. The first appointment is an individual 1-hour assessment and the following (3) appointments are scheduled as group or individual (if needed). The group education classes are either on a Monday evening or Saturday afternoon.

Our program data shows past program participants have improved HgbA1c, weight loss, increased daily physical activity and prevented long-term complications.
This diabetes education is designed to help keep mothers and their babies healthy during and after pregnancy.
A registered dietitian helps you design a healthy eating plan that will work for you and your medical condition. Physician referral required.
Diabetes self-management education and medical nutrition therapy are both covered benefits on many health insurance plans. Please check with your health insurance benefits prior to your first appointment.
